The Land Group was contracted for civil engineering and landscape architectural services for the expansion of the existing Student Union Building at Boise State University. As the hub of the campus, care was taken to provide a high quality design that balanced the aesthetic quality of a public space with functional requirements of a university campus. Civil design included grading, drainage, and utility layout, as well as coordination for redesign of adjacent roadways and ensuring the project was in compliance with ADA requirements. Landscape design created a rich campus environment with interesting planters, paved areas for gathering, and bike parking to promote connectivity. The Land Group's final product was an overall master plan and related construction documents for the site.
